I am Lucas Araujo, a graphic designer committed to delivering clean and functional designs that stand out from the crowd. My mission is to create innovative solutions and communicate messages clearly and creatively.
My background in Web Design, Photography, and Languages bring a unique perspective to my work, allowing me to approach design projects with an understanding of technology, visual aesthetics, and effective communication.
Qualification
I am a graduate of Humber College’s Web Design and Development Program, where I learned to analyze problems and apply best practices to plan, design and build websites and web applications using the most up-to-date techniques and technology. I am also graduated with honors in Humber College’s Graphic Design for Print and Web program, where I developed many skills like effective composition and layout, HTML and CSS front-end development, UI Design, Prototyping Tools, among others. I also hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from UFJF, specializing in Software Engineering, with an academic exchange experience at the University of Salamanca in Spain.
Experience
My web design experiences include working as a Web Developer and Web Programmer in Brazil, where I developed and maintained workflow applications, software, websites, databases and mobile apps. I was also a Research Visitor at the WebBased Systems Group from Freie Universität, in Germany, where I developed and documented semantic web, linked data and open government data projects.
Beyond my experience in graphic and web design I have a diverse background that contributes to my versatility. My role as a Senior Photographer at Celebrity Cruises has honed my artistic and creative skills extensively. Additionally, my experience as a Translator and Interpreter at Alcance Translations has enhanced my communication and information handling skills. Furthermore, my time working as a Guest Relations at the Walt Disney World Resort has improved my problem-solving and decision-making skills.
This combination of design and technical expertise allows me to approach projects with a unique perspective, incorporating both aesthetics and functionality.
